Brenda Gaul and Tracy McKay created Furniture Soup to make a difference in how business consumers acquire office furniture and design their spaces. Over the years at design firms and furniture dealerships, they found several things lacking with the overall customer experience. In a nutshell, the experience was underwhelmingly flat! Considering the vast selection of product available, the amount of creativity in design was even flatter. Fun and a sense of creative challenge was often totally missing. And, most importantly, existing product was instantly considered trash, and hauled off to a landfill.

Brenda and Tracy decided they could change all that. They would champion the consumer through their driving innovation. Offer the best value for the money. Deliver a quality product and experience for the customer. And at the same time, save the landfills.

The showroom, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, captures the essence of this creative bunch. The inventories of previously enjoyed and new office furniture are ever changing. Today, you’ll find a gorgeous maple and cherry office suite from the VP’s office at Blue Cross Blue Shield; a European marble topped walnut desk and credenza from Penske; previously enjoyed systems furniture from MicroSoft and General Electric; and, new casegoods from Global. All are intermingled with artwork and accessories to complete any space. Each visit to the showrooms is a new adventure.

The Soup team turns this product into eclectic environments for all kinds of businesses- Commercial, Institutional, Medical/Healthcare, Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Technology are just a few who can benefit.

Furniture Soup's innovation has led them to be the main supplier of office furniture to JetBlue (yep, the airline), Benjamin Moore Paints, The Reading Hospital Medical Group and its affiliations, Wyomissing Data Systems, Inc., Ondva-Huyett Associates, Wohlsen Construction, and countless others. Their installations can be found from Vancouver to the Bahamas, New York to Virginia being the most local intensity.
